The plot for my music video was decided when i had an idea of how to make the best use of the location and ablilites I possess. I decided that the music video, should tell a story, and should, in some way, be relative to the song.
The song I have chosen has within its lyrics the idea of searching for something. So i have decided to make it a video about someone, i have not yet decided the gender of the people involved, or their relationship, searching for someone else who they know, this will be shown through the sending of message between the characters, which will then move on to shots to each person individually and a searching by one of the characters, and at the end ifthe video the two characters will meet, i have not decided yet whether or not this meeting will be a friendly one or a hostile one, perhaps with a dramatic ending.
One of the characters will be cold, and will be shown by mise-en-scene, this will change throughout the video, and this also will be represented by the change in clothes.
In contrast, the character searching will be shown as a friendly character whom not much is known about, so we presume the character to be a much nicer one to the other.

Choosing my location.
I have decided to film my music video in the St. Lawrence Chuchyard, a place known for its natural beauty and solemn surroundings, hopefully this will also show a sense of secludedness in the shots i film there, my choosing of location is meant to represent the characters emotions and needs for one another. It is also meant to convey a sense of being lost, but intentionally lost. I have decided that the opening and closing shots will take place here, to both signify the ending of the track alongside the returning to normality after the song has closed.
The location is to serve as key to the plot, with one of the characters being a recently deceased ghost and her mourning friend delivering flowers to her grave.

Shortlist - Survey
For my music video i have chosen to use a rock song, this i have not limited in terms of different ends of the rock spectrum. I held a vote between on the shortlist for which song could base my music video on.
The Seeker - The Who ( 2 Votes)
You've got Another Thing Comin' - Judas Priest ( 2 Votes)
Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden ( 3 Votes)
Paranoid - Black Sabbath (4 Votes)
Rock you like a Hurricane – Scorpions (3 Votes)
Breaking the Chains – Dokken (2 Votes)
Hunting High and Low – Stratovarius (4 Votes)
Johnny B Goode - Chuck Berry (1 Vote)
The vote came down to a draw between both 'Paranoid' by Black Sabbath & 'Hunting High and Low' by Stratovarius. In the end I decided to choose Stratovarius' Hunting High and Low as it gave me a prime opportunity to include a chase scene into my music video, and adapt around this format.
