CD Front Cover

My front cover was difficult to create and send out the right message i wished to convey. My first job was to place my main image of Character 2, whom is in both my music video and appears on the front of my poster. This image remains constant throughout my media. allowing viewers to relate between them. The Image here was ridden of colour to convey a sense of stark contrast, between life and death. But also of character, and music. The person featured is a female, which is quite unconventional within covers of Heavy Metal genre, so i decided to stick along the lines of unconventionality with my cover and poster, also. The main emotion i wished to convey was lonliness. The girl on her own on the front of the cover, and its relative blankness. Convey a sense of lonliness of the title track "Fear of the Dark" which also ties in with the Video and the songs Lyrics. I decided that due to the unconventionality of my main image, and straying away from Iron Maiden's signature artwork, the band's name would need to be easily visible, so as people know the band.

CD Back Cover

My CD cover on the back i left mostly blank, this is a common conventionality within cd's that i examined. Barcode and Website's to find information on the band are present. Along with a playlist of the song's included on the Album. The CD's colour scheme matches the front cover and poster. And this will be the main convention within my designs.

Poster

This is my Poster, it works well because it reflects the theme of life and death of my music video, which i have used to Interpret the song. I have chosen the grey colour scheme, as it reflects the midway between life and death. Which is the key focus of my music video. The poster shows both the name of the band and their album title. The key focus of the poster is the Character. Which is the same character as the one in my film who is living. The fact she is gazing upwards, towards the heavens. As it signify's her pondering the welfare of her lost friend. I have added effects to the Title to make it seem as though it is surrounded by mist, adding to the spooky nature of the Video.

Chosen Colour Scheme.

My chosen colour scheme will be black & white. I have chosen this to represent the idea of life & death, relating the blackness to the idea of darkness that comes with death and grieving, and the light that could be associated with heaven. Hered , I have found some chosen examples of black and white images. It's important to note that in my music video, my two main actresses will wear black and white to represent life and death.

Chosen Font

This is the chosen font for my music digi-pack. I decided to choose this based on a number of different reactions from my feedback and my own personal opinion. Later on, I will record a video diary detailing exactly why I decided to choose this font.
